I can’t remember a time that I didn’t draw or paint as a child; I was always encouraged by my mother who herself is also wonderfully creative. Throughout my school years, art was my favourite subject and I always knew that I‘d like to pursue it as a career. To that end I studied Design at London Metropolitan University where I was awarded an Upper Second Class Honours Degree. Following that for the next 20 plus years, I worked as a successful media and graphic designer. However, in 2012, I made a difficult decision to walk away from my career, as I knew I needed to express myself far more creatively and freely. Through my art, I hope to portray my emerging understanding of my spirituality, of light and dark within us and my joy and wonder of the natural world. My work has an uplifting quality to it and my wish is for it to touch and inspire you - in whatever way that may be. I work in mixed media – oil pastels, acrylic paint and pencil on paper.
